LDC-E5101 — An edition pointing at a missing source

For LLMs5 sections

Every edition belongs to one declared source: the of reference says which work the edition reproduces. When that name matches no source in the package, the edition hangs unattached and the trace loses the work it came from. The compiler refuses the dangling reference.

Declare the source, or correct the name after of.

This error also rejects entrenchment.source when its local target is missing or is not a source work (§32.3). A dangling protection reference must not silently disable the E5301 consolidation check.

Arxo Law
language "law.core" version "0.2";
package demo.diagnostics version "0.1.0";
namespace "urn:law:demo:diagnostics";
source S1 { kind statute; }
edition E1 of Missing { language en; officiality official; }

package demo.diagnostics version "0.1.0";

The engine reports this in its own wording:

Output
example.law:6:15: error LDC-E5101: edition "E1": source "Missing" is not declared (§28)
