# Install ## Routes | Route | Command | Platforms | |---|---|---| | npm | `npm i -g @arxo/cli` | macOS arm64, Linux x64 | | Homebrew | `brew install arxohq/tap/law` | macOS arm64, Linux x64 | | Shell script | `curl -fsSL https://github.com/arxohq/law-releases/releases/latest/download/install.sh \| sh` | macOS arm64, Linux x64 | | APT | package `arxo-law`, setup at [packages.arxo.io](https://packages.arxo.io) | Debian, Ubuntu (amd64) | | Archive | [GitHub Releases](https://github.com/arxohq/law-releases/releases) with `.sha256` next to each archive | macOS arm64, Linux x64 | All routes carry the bytes of the same release. The npm package is a thin launcher: the platform package holds the binary. ## Check the install ```text title="Terminal" $ law version law 0.1.1 semantics: law.core/0.2 std for language 0.2: 0.2.0 lawql: lawql/1 (queryResult 0.1) binary hash: sha256:2f0d9054a88f⌠``` The first line is the tool version, `law 0.1.1`: the bytes that will answer your questions. The last line is the hash of those bytes. ## Two version numbers The terminals on these pages were recorded with tool 0.1.1, carried by launcher 0.1.4. The launcher only delivers the bytes; what a command prints depends on the tool version, so when two installs disagree, compare the first line of `law version` first.
