Arxo computes consequences of formalized norms on presented facts. It does not establish facts, does not qualify relations, does not assess the prospects of a case, and does not replace a lawyer. An answer shows what follows from the formalized part of the law on the given facts as of the named date — three qualifications, each of them material.

Decisions that carry legal consequences, take with a lawyer. Responsibility for using answers lies with whoever uses them.

Official statute texts

A formalization refers not to a paraphrase of an article but to pinned bytes of official text: each fragment has a publication address, a moment of retrieval, and a content hash. Texts are kept for checking — so that a reading of the norm can be compared with the norm itself, and a divergence is discovered by the machine, not by the reader.

Rights in source texts belong to their rightsholders and publishers; the regime differs by source, and the legal regime of a given text is determined by the law of the place of its publication, not by this project. Official text of any fragment and its hash are returned by law_sources — the same response shows where it was taken from.

Not every package is law

The corpus includes packages that formalize not the law in force of a state, but doctrine, historical monuments, teaching problems, and invented legal orders. They are marked in the catalogue, and every answer names a jurisdiction. The answer of such a package is a conclusion from its own rules; it is not the law of any country and cannot be used as such.

What leaves for the server

The public MCP server mcp.arxo.io is a third-party computer. Everything passed in a call leaves your contour: the question itself, case facts, draft texts and documents sent to the workbench.

Practical rule: do not send personal data, legally protected secrets, or case information that must not be disclosed to a third party. Phrase the question without identifiers — the law needs legally relevant features (amounts, periods, statuses), not names.

If the contour admits no external transmission at all, run the server yourself: the same code works locally over stdio and over HTTP on loopback, and its answers are the same bytes — see Connect an AI assistant (MCP), section “Your own deployment”. That is the only way to guarantee that the data go nowhere.

How to cite an answer

The answer is reproducible, so a citation of it can be exact rather than descriptive: programHash (which law answered), caseHash (on which facts), resultHash (what came out), legalTime (as of which date) plus source articles from provenance. Field-by-field — How to read an answer.
