# LDC-Q4010 — The question body holds a clause the language does not know ## What it means The body of a question over a package is a fixed list of parts: names introduced with their kinds, the conditions, the return values, and an optional attached case. A part that matches none of these stops the question, and the engine quotes the part it could not place. Rewrite the part as one of the known ones, or drop it when it does not belong. The remaining parts stay as written. ## Example ```lawql query q over "demo.diagnostics" { for x: Applicant; orderby x; where resident(x); select resident(x); } ``` ## Fix ```lawql from r in rules select r ``` ## Engine message The engine reports this in its own wording: ```text LDC-Q4010: unknown query-over clause 'orderby x'. ``` ## Related - [Questions to the engine](/constructs/queries/) — the shape of a question over a package. - [LDC-Q4011](/diagnostics/LDC-Q4011/) — when a required part is absent.
