# LDC-E8203 — Unknown or repeated label slot ## What it means A label can carry grammatical forms beside the official wording, one per morphological slot of the label language: genitive, dative, and the rest. Each slot name comes from a fixed per-language vocabulary, and each slot may appear only once — the first form wins. A slot outside the vocabulary, or a second form under an already used slot, is diagnosed at the offending form while checking continues. The finding is a warning: the check keeps a zero exit. Rename the unknown slot to a vocabulary name, or drop the repeated form, and the warning clears. ## Example ```law language "law.core" version "0.2"; package demo.diag version "0.1.0"; namespace "urn:law:demo:diag"; entity Person { label ru-KZ official "Лицо" { vocative "Лице"; } } ``` ## Fix ```law language "law.core" version "0.2"; package demo.diag version "0.1.0"; namespace "urn:law:demo:diag"; entity Person { label ru-KZ official "Лицо" { genitive "Лица"; } } ``` ## Engine message The engine reports this in its own wording: ```text example.law:7:9: warning LDC-E8203: unknown morphological-form slot "vocative"; known slots "ru-KZ": genitive, dative, accusative, instrumental, prepositional, genitive_plural, dative_plural, accusative_plural, instrumental_plural, prepositional_plural ``` ## Related - [Vocabulary](/constructs/vocabulary/) — how names are declared and which positions take them.
