# LDC-E1375 — Test case without a cases registry

## What it means

Not triggerable in a hermetic recipe.

A test file that refers to a case needs the owning package to declare its cases: when the package carries no `[[cases]]` registry at all, the reference has nothing to resolve against (`case_reference_diagnostics` in the language server). This diagnostic is emitted by the editor surface only — no command-line tool reports it — so no command-line recipe reproduces it. If you meet the code in the editor, read it as "declare the case first" and register it in the package manifest.
