# LDC-E1207 — Context profile field set twice
## What it means
A context profile fixes each of its axes exactly once: the profile is
one coherent snapshot of evaluation settings, not a list of overrides.
When the same field name appears on two lines of one profile, the
compiler stops at the second occurrence.
The repair is to keep a single line per field: merge the two values
into the intended one and delete the other. The passing file below
drops the profile and keeps the package it belongs to.
## Example
```law
language "law.core" version "0.2";
package demo.diagnostics version "0.1.0";
namespace "urn:law:demo:diagnostics";
context profile Demo {
mode active;
mode active;
}
```
## Fix
```law
language "law.core" version "0.2";
package demo.diagnostics version "0.1.0";
namespace "urn:law:demo:diagnostics";
entity Applicant;
```
## Engine message
The engine reports this in its own wording:
```text
example.law:7:5: error LDC-E1207: context profile "Demo": field "mode" is set twice (§89.1)
```
