# LDC-E1106 — Transitive import outside the lock

## What it means

Not triggerable in a hermetic recipe.

A package's dependency brings its own imports: the closed world is pinned by the root lock, and a transitive import the lock never pinned has no agreed bytes. The check happens in world-link preflight of the ask flow (`world_pin_diagnostics`), which needs a closed two-package world with a root lock. The single-file check presents dependencies without any lock closure, so it never reaches this refusal. If you meet the code in real output, read it as "pin the transitive import in the root lock" and re-lock the world.
