# Mutant demo: one weakened guard, one distinguishing test

Two tiny packages with identical tests. The base package grants payout
from thirty percent loss; the mutant copy weakens the guard to twenty
while keeping the rule name, and says so in its header comment.

- Base rule: payout when loss reaches thirty through one hundred.
- Mutant rule: payout when loss reaches twenty through one hundred.
- Shared tests: loss thirty qualifies; loss twenty-five stays undecided.

Run each package with the commands below. The base run passes twice;
the mutant run passes the thirty case and fails the twenty-five case.

```sh
$ law test docs/handbook/files/fixtures/mutant-demo/base
$ law test docs/handbook/files/fixtures/mutant-demo/mutant
```

Observed with tool version `law` 0.1.0, semantics law.core/0.2. The full
outputs are quoted on the properties and mutations handbook page.
